Sports Betting Champ
The Sports Betting Champ...where o' where to begin. Without a doubt the most popular sports betting system on the internet today. As much as it hurts, I have to say that the marketing for this system is absolutely brilliant (but maybe not the most ethical). The reason I mention ethics is because of the "get rich quick" themes that are associated with it. I'll say it again, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS "GET RICH QUICK" (I guess the lottery maybe). It's a marketing ploy and although it works because people can be very gullible, it's simply not reality. Whether you're building a business, investing in the stock market, or betting on sports, they're all a long term investment...bottom line. The Sports Betting Champ system is not an exception and neither are any other sports betting systems. Don't believe everything you read on the internet and put in some research before shelling out your hard earned cash.
Sports Betting Champ - OverviewThere are really two services that the Sports Betting Champ is selling: his system selections and his personal selections. We will focus entirely on the system because, to be honest, I haven't heard great things about his personal selections, so you'll want to steer clear of those. Obviously, I can't go into the details of how the Sports Betting Champ system works, but I can give you a broad overview. To start off with, there are two separate systems: one for the NBA and one for the MLB. Both are somewhat similar so it's pretty easy to explain both at the same time. Both involve a 3 game chase. A chase simply means that you bet on a game 1, if it loses, then you bet on a game 2, if it loses, then you bet on a game 3, and if it loses, then that counts as a one loss even though you've actually lost 3 (pretty strange I know). This is very important to note because when you see claims of "winning 97%", it doesn't mean that he's winning 97% of every game bet (which is impossible) but rather he wins 97% of his 3 game chases. So lets go over how the 3 game chase works for the Sports Betting Champ system. With the NBA, you will have to buy points increasing the juice you'll have to pay and with the MLB, you'll be betting on the favorite or the runline of the underdog (in other words, whether it's the NBA or MLB, you're going to be laying a lot of juice). Here's an example that can be applied to either the NBA or MLB Sports Betting Champ systems using -160 odds throughout (risking $160 to win $100). For game 1 of the chase, you will bet $160 to win $100. If you win this bet then you are now 1-0 and have won $100. However, if you lose, then you'll now have to bet on game 2 of the chase. So for game 2, you'll now bet what you lost on game 1 ($160) plus what you were originally trying to win on game 1 ($100). This means you will be betting to win $260 with your game 2 bet ($160 + $100). With -160 odds, you would be risking $416 ((160/100) * $260) to win $260. If you win this bet then you are now 1-0 (remember since it's a chase, you count the chase a single bet and not each individual game) and have won $100. However, if you lose, then you'll now have to bet on game 3 (final game in the chase). For game 3, you'll bet what you lost on both games 1 and 2 ($160 + 416) plus what you were originally trying to win in game 1 ($100). So, you will be betting to win $666 with your game 3 bet ($160 + $416 + $100). With -160 odds, you would be risking $1065.60 ((160/100) * $666) to win $666. If you win this bet you'll be 1-0, winning $100, however if you lose, you'll finally be 0-1. You can definitely see with the Sports Betting Champ system that your losses can add up extremely fast. One chase system loss using -160 odds can wipe out nearly 11 wins...not much fun. This is why I'd highly recommend using a very strict money management strategy if you're going to use the Sports Betting Champ system. My suggestion is betting to win 1/5th of your normal bet size for each chase. For instance, if $100 is your normal bet or unit size, then I would suggest using $20 as your starting bet for this system. This would mean that if the average odds are -160, then your game 3 bet (using $20) would be risking $216.32 to win $135.20. Now this may be to conservative for some but to aggressive for others. However, if you're going to use the Sports Betting Champ, then you must have a strict money management system in place. This is so important because you can see how much a game 3 loss can cost you (and that's just with -160 odds...there's times when the odds will be more). To put it in a little more perspective, take a look at using -160 odds while trying to win $20 on each chase (again, -160 odds might even be on the low end but that's what I've been using thus far). If you were to go 68-2 for the year, then you'd net roughly $934. If you were to go 79-0 with the chase, then you'd net roughly $1580 (again, these are not exact numbers, simply close estimates). These records were taken directly from the Sports Betting Champ website. If you're normally are a $100 bettor (but only using $20 a unit for this system as suggested) then you'd be up roughly 9.34 units and 15.8 units respectively (which is very good but it's not going to make you rich in no time as it's implied).
Sports Betting Champ - What I LikeAll in all, I do think it's a pretty sound system and history has proven that it does work. But again, as always with sports betting, you must have a very strict money management system in place...do I sound like a broken record yet? Even with all of the over the top hype and promises (which I don't like...see below), the Sports Betting Champ system does have a proven record of winning. I also like that it's easy to follow and the selections can be emailed to you on a daily basis which gives you plenty of time to get your bets placed. Sports Betting Champ - What I Don't LikeWhat I don't like (if you couldn't tell by now) is the over promises of making you rich in no time. Although it's a good system, it's definitely a marathon and not a sprint. No matter how many websites, You Tube videos, quasi-celebrity endorsements, personal letters (who knows if they're even real)...etc promise that you'll be wealthy in no time, it's simply not reality. Also, if you are to sign up, the Sports Betting Champ will suggest opening an account at a certain sportsbook and using his name to get a bonus. Do not do this, I repeat do not do this. It's fine to use the book he's recommending but if you mention his name, then you won't get the best lines or odds on the games he recommends (you should have at least 3-5 accounts opened at various sportsbooks anyways). The other thing I don't like are the deceptive records that are stated i.e. 81-0, 73-1, 41-1...etc. This is very misleading to the everyday sports handicapper. Basically nowhere can you find that these records are actually for the entire 3 game chase and not on a game by game basis (which is how 99% of handicappers state their record). Sports Betting Champ - RecommendationWith the negatives that are listed above (which certainly could be looked at as shady, misleading, and unethical), I still have to look at the bottom line...and the bottom line is that the Sports Betting Champ system has consistently made money year after year. I hate that they have to use these types of tactics to sell, market, and promote the system but to each his own...I guess. I think it can be a beneficial sports betting system to anyone that has the discipline to employ a strict money management strategy. I also think the one time price of $197 is a very reasonable price to pay for a lifetime of these systems picks...especially when you compare that to what a lot of other handicappers charge.
