Sports Betting Professor

The Sports Betting Professor? Quite a name, I know. But like the Sports Betting Champ, it's another very popular sports betting system. Along those same lines, it's also a very well marketed system too.

There certinnly is a lot of hype behind it, some I like and some I'm not a real big fan of (more on that below). As with most well marketed systems, it definitely follows the "get rich quick" theme. And if I haven't said it enough already, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS "GET RICH QUICK" (besides the lottery maybe). I know that it's simply a marketing ploy (and trust me it works) but it's not reality.

Whether you're building a business, investing in the stock market, or betting on sports, they're all a long term investment, bottom line. The Sports Betting Professor is not an exception and neither is any other sports betting system. Don't believe everything you read on the internet and put in some research before shelling out your hard earned cash.

Sports Betting Professor - Overview

The main sports that the Sports Betting Professor has systems for include the NFL, MLB, NBA, and NCAA Football. Obviously each system for each sport has different criteria to which they are based on.

As with any system though, it's created by back testing loads of sports betting stats in search of trends that can be capitalized on. Obviously, the data with any system is going to give you very objective information which can be a good thing (because it takes your emotions out of it) but also can be a bad thing (because it can't take subjective factors into account).

But most sports betting systems are designed for any person to use (and basically follow blindly), so all you have to do is just place the wagers. I personally think that with the Sports Betting Professor, as with any system, you may want to do a little more research (but you don't have to) before placing your hard earned cash on any bet.

What probably sticks out the most when you actually visit the Sports Betting Professor website is the "90% win rate." Let me say this again if you haven't heard me say it enough already, it is impossible to win 90% of your bets in the long run."

Now you may go on hot streaks where you might hit 4 out of 5 games or even 9 out of 10, but eventually you'll revert back to your mean. So whenever you see numbers like 80%, 90%, 97%, it'll mean that the system implements what's called a chase system, and that's exactly what the Sports Betting Professor employs.

Typically a 3 game chase is the norm. As opposed to giving you the entire explanation of a 3 game chase again though, just check out the Sports Betting Champ page for full details.

So when it says that it "wins 90% of it's bets", it doesn't mean the system wins 90% of every game that is bet, but rather 90% of every chase (definitely a little deceptive and I'll talk more about that under my dislikes).

Unlike other systems though, this one doesn't require you to buy points (very little if any), keeping the juice or vigorish at a respectable level. But, as with any 3 game chase, you must have a very strict money management strategy in place. If you haven't heard me say it enough already, money management is the biggest key and most important factor that you can control when betting sports.

For the Sports Betting Professor, I recommend using 1/3rd to 1/4th of your normal bet/unit size as your starting bet in the chase. So if you normally bet to win $100, then I'd suggest starting out with roughly $30 as your game 1 bet in a 3 game chase. This would mean that your game 3 bet (if you had to go that far to win the chase) using -110 odds, would be roughly $145.53 to win $132.30.

Now this money management strategy might be to conservative for some or to aggressive for others, that's something you'll have to find out for yourself. But just realize that if you have to go all the way to a game 3 bet to win your chase, then you could be risking a sizable amount of your bankroll if you don't follow a strict money management plan.

Sports Betting Professor - What I Like

Looking at simply the systems very objectively, they do have a very sound track record. There definitely is no disputing that. They are very easy to understand, especially if you use the monthly service when picks are emailed daily but also if you just purchase the formulas and do the work yourself.

Another thing I like about it is, Rich Allen (the creator of Sports Betting Professor) has created a number of different articles as well as You Tube videos that are very insightful and helpful to any sports handicapper. I would certainly encourage you to check them out just for the advice (you can also sign up to be on the email list as well).

Like any good system though, it's just very easy to understand. You really don't need to know anything about sports betting to use it (although I'd encourage you to start learning). You simply place the wagers that are emailed and off you go (but again, try to learn as much as you can).

Sports Betting Professor - What I Don't Like

What I don't like, which is a common theme of most systems, is the promises of "getting rich in no time." I know it looks sexy and encourages people to get excited about the systems, but it's just not reality.

Now can you make money from it? Absolutely. Can you make a lot of money over the long term? It's a very good possibility. But just remember that betting on sports is a marathon and not a sprint.

The other thing I'm not a big fan of are the deceptive records i.e.78-6, 71-3, 80-5. It's very misleading because you would think that would be the overall record for every game bet when in reality it's for every 3 game chase bet. I would be much happier if this were stated directly under the records. I really don't think it would make a difference in how people would view the system.

Sports Betting Professor - Recommendation

Although there are a couple things I don't like, I always have to look at the bottom line...and the bottom line is that the Sports Betting Professor system will make you money as long as you follow it strictly.

I feel confident in recommending this system to anyone. I think it can be a nice addition to any handicappers sports betting arsenal. There are two options for signing up: You can get the first month for $5 and then each month is $47 after (all the work is done for you and the picks are emailed daily) or you can purchase the formulas for $197 (where you would actually have to do the work).

Either option is fine. If you have the time to research the games yourself then the formulas might be all you need. If you just want to check your email everyday and not really have to do anything else then the $47 monthly fee might be your better option (probably the best option for most people). Either way, it's an extremely affordable system that will more than pay for itself.

To find out more or to look into getting signed up, click here. But I'll warn you that the home page is pretty big and filled with video testimonials. You may check out a couple, but they're really not telling you much. Just skip down to the bottom to get signed up.

Feel free to click on the Contact Us button to the left and let me know of any particular sports betting systems you recommend and would like me to review. As always, best of luck in all of your sports betting endeavors.
