Favorite Sports Betting Sites

Picks and Track Records of over 500 Top Sports Handicappers!

There are tons of sports betting sites on the internet today. From the many years I've been gambling on sports, it seems like I've seen way to many of them.

What I'd like to do here is go over my favorite sports betting sites and why I think they're the best. You may have already seen these posted elsewhere on Sports Betting Insights, but for some, this will probably be the first time seeing them.

Most are free to use, especially the more research oriented sites and forums, but some do charge a fee. I'm not big on paying for picks or information if I can get it some where else for no charge. However, with the sites I recommend that do charge, I think it's well worth it and the fee will more than pay for itself in the long run.

Now this list isn't the end all be all to the best sports betting websites out there. I'm sure there’s some great ones I haven't run across yet, but these are my favorites and the ones I use regularly.

Sports Betting Research Sites

When it comes to betting on sports, putting in the time to research is critical. It's one of the few concepts that you have control over in sports gambling. Over the years, I've come across a ton of websites...some good and some not so good.

Below, I list my favorite sports betting research sites and a brief explanation of what each is about. Also be sure to check out the Sports Betting Research portion of the site to learn more about my favorites along with my philosophies on how to research a game.

Sports Insights - This is by far one of my favorite sports betting sites. It offers tons of tools and systems along with real time odds, scores, injuries, and quite a bit more.

This is only one of two sports betting research sites I recommend that isn't free, but I truly believe the information is invaluable. Even if you're a $100 a game player, the monthly fee will more than pay for itself. Plus there's a few packages to choose from depending on what you're looking for.

When you compare Sports Insights to other sports betting information services, it's not even close. They really do offer a lot more quality data at a cheaper price. I would encourage any serious sports bettor to check them out.

I know I sound like a commercial, but it's not often you come across such a worthwhile site that can add so much to your sports betting strategy. Again, I hate that it's not free, but I can assure you it'll pay for itself many times over in the long run.

Show Me The Odds - By far the best, but more importantly free, live odds website. Just a fantastic software that easily downloads to your computer and updates on a real time basis. I love this site and although it's not nearly as comprehensive as Sports Insights, it's a must have for any size sports handicapper.

Scores and Odds - When you're looking for up to date (not quite real time) scores and odds (as the names says), this is a great site. They provide good information and odds on just about anything you're looking for. They also have other helpful stats like injuries, weather updates, and more.

Statfox - Research can be found just about anywhere on Statfox. They have a ton of information from matchups to team stats and even their own power rankings. I use this sight pretty much daily.

One of the things I really like is that it has links to any major sports teams local newspaper (including NCAA football and basketball). So if you're searching for injury information, this is usually a great place to go. They have to much data to list, but I would definitely encourage you to spend some time navigating the site.

Fox Sheets Associated with statfox, foxsheets are a great handicappers tool that will give you more betting information than you can imagine. From trends, to game simulations, to line movements, the foxsheets are very comprehensive.

This is the only other sports betting research site that I recommend that isn't free, but again I wouldn't do so if it weren't worth it. A lot of time goes into the information they provide and you won't find it so neatly packaged anywhere else. They offer a number of different pricing options, so if you just want to try it out for a week, you always can.

Although it isn't free, I can assure you the cost will pay for itself many times over. I would encourage any serious sports handicapper to check them out.

Sportsbook Review - Anything that has to do with sportsbook information, this is the site to check out (well besides this one of course). They offer comprehensive reviews and have a rating system that grades just about every sportstbook that's out there.

They also give assistance and will help to resolve disputes with sportsbooks as well. I don't think I've come across another site that has so much quality, reliable information when it comes to sportsbooks. However, before signing up for any sportsbook, be sure to check the Choosing a Sportsbook portion of our site.

Sportinglife - This is a fantastic site when you're looking for soccer, tennis, and golf information. They have a lot of good articles and betting information that are always up to date. I would definitely encourage all soccer bettors to check out this site.

Vegasinsider - One of the biggest and most comprehensive sports betting sites around, Vegasinsider still does a good job. They cover a lot of data and provide some interesting sports betting articles.

Kffl - This is a fantastic website not only for sports betting but also for fantasy sports. It's always up to date and the blogs are great. I use it for a lot of injury information but they also have some really good articles too.

Covers - Along the same lines as Vegasinsider, Covers is another sports betting site that's been around for a long time and goes over a lot of data.

They've got some great match up reports but I also really enjoy the blogs. The members of the forums provide a lot of quality information as well.

ESPN and CBS Sports - I don't think I really need to cover much with these two sites since they're such household names.

Google News - Whatever information your looking for, Google news will search over 25,000 news sources in a matter of seconds. By far the best search for finding local news and information on any team.

Local Newspapers (see statfox above) and Sports Betting Forums (see below)

Sports Betting Software

Spider Web Sports - A unique betting software that's been around for a few years now. While maybe not as well known as some software packages, they have established themselves as a quality, reputable, and most importantly, winning service. They rank as one of our top rated services.

Microbrothers - A great sports betting software program that has been winning for years. Definitely one of the most popular out there today and, in my opinion, certainly one of the best with a track record to prove it.

Stat Attack Sports - When it comes to tracking sports betting statistics, Stat Attack Sports is always the first software I recommend. They offer the most comprehensive sports betting statistics software in the industry today.

Accuscore - By far one of my favorite sports betting research websites. When it comes to simulation sports betting software, they are certainly the best. They provide a ton of information directly from their website.

Pro Football Forecast - Another sports betting software program that defintely stands out from the rest. Over the last 5 years from 2004-2008 their best bets have been a ridiculous 176-114, or just over 61%. The best bets have never had a losing year since they've been tracked.

Sports Betting Forums

Sports betting forums are a fantastic way to get information and bounce ideas around. Whether you're just starting your handicapping career or you've been doing it for years, you'll find some great stuff in the forums.

Anything from injury updates to following a hot handicappers picks, you're sure to find it in my favorite sports betting forums. Most of them have about the same format so I won't go into any detail below.

I highly recommend signing up (it's free) with a few different forums because I truly feel the information and insights can be invaluable. You'll also be able to share your own thoughts as well. Check out my favorites below.

Sports Betting Services/Handicappers

Seeking out a proven and trustworthy sports handicapping service can be a little overwhelming since there's literally thousands of them around. However, the problem I most often find is that they spend more time marketing their services than handicapping games.

I've used a lot of services over the years and have narrowed my favorites below. They are all fantastic services specializing in the sports they handicap best. To get much more information on how to choose a sports betting service and thorough write ups on each of my favorites, go to the Sports Handicappers portion of the site.

Wunderdog Sports - Specializing in all major sports, Wunderdog Sports has a proven track record dating back to 2001 and is by far one of my favorites. As with all of the services I recommend, they are honest, transparent, and very up front whether they're winning or losing.

Right Angle Sports - Simply put, they are one of the best in the industry. Online since 1996, Right Angle Sports is very unique in that they stay away from main stream sports and focus in on the smaller sports where they can take advantage of soft lines.

Jefferson Sports - Jefferson Sports has been at it for years when it comes to betting on sports and has proven to have a great gift. Just check out his website and incredible long term track record and you'll know you're dealing with a great handicapper.

Dr. Bob Sports - Having a track record back to 1987, Dr. Bob sports is one of the best in the industry when it comes to the NFL and NCAA Football (he's also very good at the NBA and NCAA basketball). He is proven, very up front, and realistic when it comes to expectations.

Paramount Sports - Another great service, Lee Sterling of Paramount Sports has been handicapping games with great success for many years now. As with my other favorites, he has a great track record but just as important he's an honest and reputable sports betting service.

Maddux Sports - Just a fantastic service that has great long term track record. They're very down to earth (as are all my favorites) and really do try and help the everyday handicapper as opposed to just trying to sell you something.

Nick Jones Picks - Now this service is actually a combination a few different handicappers. Some are great and some aren't so good. Take a look at my favorites by clicking here.

The Pro Soccer Investment File - If soccer is your sport, then the The Pro Soccer Investment File is the service for you. With one of the best track records I've run across when it comes to betting soccer, they are my go to service when I'm wagering on European football.

Tennis Betting Tips - Tennis is a sport you probably don't hear much about when it comes to gambling. But I can assure you there's money to be made and TennisBettingTips.com is one of the best tennis handicapping sites I've run across.

Stanley's Picks at Tour Tips - Golf is becoming a more popular sport to bet and one of the best handicappers in the industry is Stanley at Tour-Tips. He has a long term proven track record that can be viewed right on the site. If golf is your game, then this is a great place to check out.

Sportsbooks

Along with sports betting services, sportsbooks are just about everywhere. Trying to figure out the best ones to have an account with can be a little daunting.

I list my personal favorites below. I'd also encourage you to check out the Choosing a Sportsbook portion of the site where I'll go over my own personal criteria that I use in searching for quality sportsbooks.

Diamond - A very reputable sportsbook that's been around for many years and has a great record. Geared toward the high roller/professional handicapper, Diamond is a proficiently operated sportsbook that I'd recommend to anyone.

Legendz Sports - Partnered with BetCRIS along with Bookmaker, Legends Sports is one of my favorites. They offer low limits for the beginning handicapper but also accommodate the dime betters as well. Legends Sports is a well run book with a proven record.

5 Dimes - A great book that's been around since 1999 and is highly recommended by just about anybody that uses them. They have one of the best bonus programs I've seen plus they offer reduced juice, which in my opinion is the best bonus of all.

Intertops - Taking bets since 1983 and online since 1996, Intertops is known in the business to have accepted the first online sports bet. While maybe not as fancy or big as some of my other favorites, they run a great book that I would recommend to anyone.

BookMaker - Probably the biggest and "fanciest" of my favorite sportsbooks, Bookmaker is a very professionally run and organized business. They cater specifically to the high roller/professional handicapper but they can also accommodate the smaller bettor as well.

Sports Betting Systems

Bookie Buster - Out of all the sports betting systems I've reviewed and recommended, Bookie Buster is probably my favorite. With the system, you'll get 25 different systems along with the exact steps you need to take in the exact order you need to take them. Everything is explained very easily for anyone to understand.

Sports Betting Professor - Another popular sports betting system that is very highly marketed on the internet. He has various systems depending on the sport and all have proven to be successful as long as you practice a very strict money management strategy.

Sports Betting Champ - Without a doubt, the most popular system on the internet today. While the marketing of getting rich quick is certainly over hyped, it has proven to be a winning system. But once again, as with any progressive betting system, you must have a very strict money mangement plan.
