POINT DIFFERENTIAL DETERMINED

by ROSS HOLDER
(120 VALDOR DR. TORONTO CANADA)

if i am trying to established the point differential(points scored or allowed) of the 16 teams that an nfl team has played for the season, and that team has played 3 teams twice in that 16 game schedule; do i then divide by 16 or by 13in order to established the offensive defensive averages?
i hope it makes sense. I am asking this from the examples that you have given for Atlanta and Detroit in your essays.

I look forward to your prompt reply.

Ross

Hi Ross,

I think I understand your question. You'll still want to divide by 16 since they are all considered separate games. Even though they've played 2 games against 3 teams, all games should be looked at separately. Let me know if that makes sense.
