Sports Handicappers and Betting Services
Check out my recommended sports handicappers and sports betting services by clicking here.Handicapping sports requires a substantial amount of time. To be successful, it requires a lot more than just 4-5 hours a week. You really need to put in the time to study line moves, team trends, power ratings, statistics, game analysis, historical angles, soft lines...etc.
Most people don't have nearly the time and that's why they turn to a professional sports handicapper or sports betting service. Now you'll run across people in the forums that will tell you to stay away from them for various reasons but if you don't have the time, then you owe it to yourself to get some help. Now I'm definitely not saying that everyone should be using a sports betting service, but I also don't think it's the worst thing in the world as long as they are reputable, honest, and proven. That's were the hard part comes in, trying to find a reputable, honest, and proven handicapper can be difficult (check out my personal recommendations by clicking here.). There are literally thousands of them out there and I would guess that 99% spend more time marketing than handicapping games. Don't get me wrong, I know they've got to sell themselves but as long as they can produce honest, proven long term results, then their record will sell itself. I can't tell you how sick I get see so called professional handicappers tout their records like they're the greatest thing since sliced bread. If they could actually produce these results then why the heck are they needing to sell their picks. Check out my personal criteria for finding a sports handicapper at the How to Choose a Sports Betting Service Page. As the saying goes, "If it sounds to good to be true then it probably is." Scamdicappers are a dime a dozen in the sports betting industry and I can't tell you how important it is to stay far far away from them. It may be difficult to sift through them all, but put in the time and follow some guidelines (my criteria will help) and you'll evenutally find someone you can trust.
What to Look for When Choosing a Sports Betting Service/Handicapper Like I said, the hardest part is weeding out the good from the bad. My personal criteria that I use in researching a reputable sports betting service or professional sports handicapper are as follows: - Are They Honest and Reputable?
- What's Their Track Record?
- How Long Have They Been in Business?
- What's Their Sports Betting Philosophy?
- What Sports Do They Handicap and What Are They Best At?
- How Much Does it Cost?
- What's Their Customer Service Like?
If you're able to find the answers to each one of these questions and it fit's in with your own sports investing strategy then they may be a good fit. I get into a lot more detail of how I go about researching sports handicappers at the How to Choose a Sports Betting Service Page. I'll go into greater explanation of the standards that I follow, along with some of my personal recommendations that I feel are trustworthy and proven. As I've stated before, I put in a lot of time, research, and due diligence into the sports betting services I use and recommend (unlike a lot of websites that are basically "whoring" themselves out for money). I would never recommend a betting service that I don't currently use or haven't used in the past (I like to think of it as eating my own cooking). Choosing a sports betting service or professional sports handicapper is a very important task, so putting in the time to research can be the difference between winning and losing.
